GoodPoint 前身為樓高四層的住宅唐樓,早於戰前1932年落成,由法國建築師設計,比利時建築公司興建,是本港第一代鋼筋混凝土建築。建築物保存了上世紀三十年代初法式建築的亮麗優雅,更揉合了當代室內設計裝潢的簡約個性。有別於一般中式騎樓式設計,其時太子道西一帶的唐樓群大多採用西方流行的裝飾藝術建築風格(Art Deco Architecture),為當年小資產階層的住所,有「摩登公寓」之稱。時至今日,太子花墟依然是香港九龍半島一個重要地標,見證著中西文化、城鄉共生、商肆攤檔,民間生活的變遷。建築物被古物諮詢委員會列為二級歷史建築物,納入為市區重建局保育活化項目之一,香港社會服務聯會負責管理及營運。

四間本地社會企業及文化藝術團體以社區經濟模式參與營運,從五季禪食的健康素食、天經地義生活館的有機農品及本地製作,到走馬燈策劃的藝術文化活動,以及金齡薈開展第三齡人士興趣班;全方位開拓生活空間和樂趣,凝聚社區資本。

 

Located in prime area of Flower Market, GoodPoint is a 4-storey integrated modern heritage complex listed as grade II historic building established in 1932. Dominated with classical French architecture design, the building carried Art Deco architectural elements, preserving the unique French architecture style offers a lot of charm with a distinctive modern interior design. It was the first generation of concrete steel building acclaimed as “Modern Apartment” which welcomed by lower middle class. Nowadays, Flower Market is still an important landmark in Kowloon Peninsula, witnessing the merging of East and West, urban-rural interaction, development of community economy and the transformation of civil life. The building is one of the renewal projects under Heritage Preservation and Revitalization Scheme carried by Urban Renewal Authority, managed by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

GoodPoint is revitalized as a lifestyle hub adopting community-based model which operated by social enterprises and community organizations serving multiple functions of local commodity, art exhibition, interest class for seniors and veggie café that serve to develop community interests and synergize social resources.
